Welcome to the official website of The Central Florida Chapter of the American Harp Society. We are a tax-exempt, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our aim is to promote and foster the appreciation of the harp as a musical instrument, to encourage the composition of music for the harp, and to improve the quality of performance of harpists.
The Chapter was founded in 1987 by Jan Jennings along with a small group of founding members. Since that time we have presented more than 100 harp events including concerts, workshops, and master classes to benefit harpists and the public. The members are professional harpists, amateur harpists, students, teachers, and harp enthusiasts from the greater central Florida area. The Central Florida Chapter was selected as Chapter of the Year by the parent organization, the American Harp Society, in 1995, 2003, 2008, and 2013.
